Ensemble options include:

ACCORD DUO (violin/cello) - The intimate clarity of the violin/cello duo is best suited for relatively small gatherings of well under 100 people. This option has become increasingly popular in recent years, and is often used to provide both ceremony and reception cocktail music at single site wedding celebrations. Along with classical standards, most of the pop/rock favorites work well with the violin/cello duo.
ACCORD DUO (violin/violin or violin/viola) - If you are interested in having classical background music for an open house, birthday celebration, or romantic dinner, you will enjoy the sound of violin duets or the violin/viola duo. Either one of these ensembles can also provide classical and traditional music for your wedding ceremony at an intimate setting.

Either one of these ensembles can also provide classical and traditional music for your wedding ceremony at an intimate setting.

ACCORD TRIO (violin/viola/cello or violin/violin/cello) - The three piece ensemble offers you a lovely chamber sound and can perform almost any of the classical or pop-rock repertoire that we offer. This option obviously gives you more sound than the duo, and often is a wise compromise choice to help meet any budget limitations that you may have. The trio can also serve as accompaniment for a singer.
QUARTETTE ACCORD (two violins/viola/cello) - For the fullest sound, you'll want to hire the standard string quartet. This grouping will give you string chamber music in its ultimate form. Similar to the trio, the full quartet can provide you with classical standards, popular favorites, and vocal accompaniment.
SOLO VIOLIN - Depending on availability, the sound of a solo violinist may be the perfect choice to create atmosphere at a luncheon, party, or open house.

SERVICES
The services provided by THE QUARTETTE ACCORD are all designed to give you the most rewarding musical experience possible, and they therefore emphasize personal attention to your individual needs and preferences.
1) Following your initial inquiry, you will be asked to share as much information as possible about your overall event plans. Doing this will improve recommendations given to you with respect to choosing the best ensemble size for your specific needs. If it is obvious that the string involvement will be relatively limited, for example, hiring a string trio instead of the full quartet may be a good choice for you.
2) As the principal violinist and manager of THE QUARTETTE ACCORD string ensembles, I will stay in touch with you throughout the entire planning process. Moving on to the event day, I will plan to be both present and performing so that the ensemble sound meets your expectations based on the information you will have shared with me earlier (This is a personal policy that therefore prevents me from double booking.)
3) I will make every effort to secure music for songs/selections that are not currently in our repertoire. If the cost to obtain a new string arrangement will not fit into your budget, I will do my best to give you alternate options. In some cases, for example, that "must have" favorite pop song that you want for your wedding ceremony may work just as well at your reception via your DJ.
4) One of my goals is to maximize the amount of music that we perform for you. You have paid for professional string entertainment, and I therefore want to give you as much for that money as is possible. With that goal in mind, I do book using a minimum fee scale that provides you anywhere from a one to a two hour block of time. Even if you are only interested in basic wedding ceremony music, I believe that I can offer you better services with this flexible time allowance. Instead of perhaps charging you a slightly reduced one hour rate, I afford you the luxury of some "wiggle" room in the event that things do not get underway timely, and I thereby help reduce some of the stress that is often an unavoidable part of special occasions. In addition, I will suggest ways to increase our overall involvement, and will sometimes be able to really stretch our services by covering both a ceremony and cocktail hour for the minimum fee.
5) I will be happy to refer you to vocalists/cantors, keyboard players, trumpet players, or other instrumentalists, if necessary, and will discuss the process of coordinating music that you wish for us to perform with other musicians. These outside players will contract and bill you themselves, but I will make direct contact with them to finalize performance plans once specific music has been chosen.
6) Once you have signed a contract, I will offer you a free in-home consultation session to work out all of the music details for your upcoming special event. Especially vital for clients planning wedding ceremonies, I have found this meeting (usually done 4 - 6 weeks before your big day) to be very rewarding, as it gives me an opportunity to get a better feel for the type of musical package that I should design for you. Many clients have also expressed a great feeling of relief following this session, as we have been able to work through many of their personal questions and concerns.
7) Following your "in-person" consultation (online correspondence or a phone appointment is available as a back-up option), I will send you an online detailed summary outline of everything that we discussed, including music choices, equipment needs (armless chairs), etc. This written information will give you music titles that you may wish to include on a program, will serve as a reference for any further meetings scheduled with your officiant, and will provide you with a "for posterity" record of the music you chose for your special day.
8) Finally, as part of the music "set-up" process, I will make sure that music is properly marked/amended/assembled with any necessary alternate "game plans" to ensure a smooth musical flow. This will reduce your possible "Will the song I chose be long enough for all of my bridesmaids?" worry or similar concern.

Testimonial: "The QUARTETTE ACCORD did a fantastic job at our wedding. I had the opportunity to meet with Sheri in advance to collaborate on music choices and we couldn't have been more pleased with the result. When they began to play Edelweiss for my brother to walk my mom down the aisle, my sister turned to me and told me she was going to cry. Thanks so much to these wonderful ladies who made our day truly special with glorious music, excellently performed. I would recommend them for any occasion when you really want to treat your guests to something heartfelt and elegant."
